HEY!!! I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START!!
AHHAHAHA!!!
Feeling super high lah!!
Oh oh...i have not blogged about the Singapore fireworks that the Kai Xin Feng Zi and my family members went to on Sat evening! It was at Marina Park. After a wonderful birthday lunch at Epoh's house (will upload the pics later), my cousins and I went home before meeting again at Kembangan MRT. We met ZW and Mel at Kemb MRT TOO!! Then suppose to meet LC at aljunied. However, we didn’t realize that we were in a different car from the one we told LC. Sorry gal! It was just too packed to have realized.
Anyway, we waited for LC's sis at Marina Bay MRT. After which, we walked to take a feeder, 400A to the place. We walked a bit more and got to the main viewing area. We managed to find seats. There was a tank display going on and it was ear deafening with the shots they were firing. However, it was just great! Where in the world would you get to be so up close with the tanks?! After the display, people started dispersing. We decided to shift nearer to the center. People were walking towards the coast to get good view for the fireworks display later in the evening. We decided that since we have seats, and probably would be better that we remained there especially we are with so many children. Yupz, so we stayed at the viewing gallery.
40 mins passed very fast, especially with all the photo taking etc. 7.40pm, the emcee asked us to shout and cheer for Rui En and Taufik as they "appeared" to sing this year's NDP song Reach out for the Skies. We looked around the stage looking for them, but saw no one. And I thought that it sounded more like the CD rather than live. True enough, after that was played, the emcee told us to give them a round of applause again and scream for them. Only then did they appear. This time, it really sounded like them. Taufik's voice wasn't overpowered by Rui En this time. She probably toned down, or they increased the volume to Taufik's mike. HAha!
745pm, President S.R. Nathan started the fireworks. The Star Wars theme song started playing. We expected a sudden boom and not the theme song to start playing. Anyway, the fireworks started to shoot up soon after he started it. *Boom BOom BoooOOOOM* There went the fireworks. It was just spectacular! That night's fireworks were choreographed by Portugal. It was good!!! Fantastic!! OOOOHHssss and AAAHHHsss just filled the air that night! The whole thing lasted for about 13 mins? Around there.
However, comparing this year's to last year's, I still prefer last year's. Maybe it's because of the location. Last year it seemed like the fireworks was pouring down on us and we could see the small and low fireworks. This year, we were quite far away from it and we couldn't see the low fireworks as the trees were blocking our view. Well...it's ok. The whole show was just spectacular!!
btw, i saw the midnight fireworks just now at my grandparents' place. It was great! not sure which country it is from this time though!! However, they were just magnificent! It was quite high, and there were more shapes and colours this time too!! I love fireworks!! =)

National Day Eve...Yesterday...was just spent very well! Or rather...with a lot of fun! Took many pics too!! Some of my Choir family members!! MJChoir rawks!! =)
