To those who are thinking of quitting Choir, or not joining us for the KL trip, dont be silly.
Where else can you find a CCA as fun as ours? Where else can you find a CCA as melodious and harmonious as ours? Where else can you find a CCA that is goal oriented and efficient? Don't you remember the days that we all spent together preparing for the SYF and Concert? Weren't they fun at all to you?
Ok...to you, maybe it doesn't seem any of the above. You feel that we are one segregated choir. You feel that we have our cliques. You feel that there is a lot of backstabbing. You feel that we aren't serious enough. You feel that you don't have a say in anything. You think that these practices are not at all beneficial to your life. You feel that it is ruining you more than making you. You feel that choir is hurting you through and through. You feel that your brain is going to brust and blood will start oozing out once you open your mouth to sing. You feel that you are going to die any moment you open your mouth to even sing a note. You just don't feel happy with us. You just want to leave us and not at all support us. You just want to let us win the competition by ourselves and you not being there with us to see the victory together!
Let me assure you, give us some time. We can all be more united. Practices would be more fun. Practices would be more beneficial. Just keep your mind open. Recollect the days that we spent together. Think of the happy days. Think of the results that we can achieve that other CCAs are not able to.
Think of the overseas trip. What is the end result? No. Not just mainly the winning of the competition and emerging victorious. It is also the friendship that can mature through the practices. It is also the encouragement from this circle of friends and you would know that there is someone and something to fall back on. Choir will make you and mould you to be a better person. Choir can help you to cope with stress and relief stress. We are like a big family. All of us are there for one another! There is no such thing as backstabbing as we are one happy family. We are all innocent beings and there isn't any conspiracy between people. We all will work together. Spread our warmth. Share the joy. Encourage one another. Cry together. Sing together. Brave stormy times together. Choir will not break you! Choir will make you!
We are all together and the joy of performing as one Choir should motivate you to stay with us and join us for the competitions and performances ahead. If you don't stay and don't go with us end of the year, just think about what you are seriously missing out on. I really hope and wish that there will be many people going for the KL trip! It would be great if we could once again practice and strive to be the best in the competition! Keep the trust in us. Keep remembering us. Just consider, where is the outlet for fun and relaxation during school curriculum?
